I was a busy bee lately. I was again invited to do the last two photoshoot for Don Cristobal creations. The themes were really fun to do and the wardrobe created by Don and his styling methods is just simply stunning. He has this ability to turn things into something spectacular. Our shoot is no less spectacular because of this man’s greatness. (Ok, do I sound like a dorky fan??? lol!).
Days after the event my Facebook wall was bombarded with the most astounding photos of the models. I was busy collating photos from the shoot and now confronted with the dilemma of taking only a few to incorporate in this blog. It is such a shame when in reality all I want to do is include everybody’s shots as they are all fantastic. Ok, enough with my dramatic interludes.
Lets start with make-up shall we?....
Saturday’s theme is ZAMBA, a fusion of animalistic ensemble and fierceness . We started the day very early, the models are all beautiful and we took over Fort Canning to serve as our back drop for the day. There’s two MUA’s who worked with the models that day. I must say I was smitten with Syariah, as she is just lovely to look at, A HMUA and a pretty lady at the same time. I bet she was also as excited as I was with the shoot. The two models I got to work with are, Geanna (An English Babe) who amazed everyone with her talent in evoking emotions in front of the camera, and there was also Lady Hana, this girl is “the bomb”. If some of you didn’t know she happened to be an HMUA, and she assisted me during the Dynasty photo shoot. I know you shouldn’t play favourites but with this two can I make an exception. These two gorgeous ladies have climbed the top lists of my favourite models I worked with.
So to give you guys an idea of the products and makeup techniques I’ve used on them, here is a list I gladly want to share with you all fine people.

On Nadd (Winged)
FACE
▪ Moisturizer – Clinique Moisture Surge
▪ Primer – Bourjois Flower Perfection Translucent Primer
▪ Foundation – Revlon Photo Ready in Natural Beige
▪ Concealer – Estee Lauder Smooth Crème Concealer
▪ Powder – Bourjois Flower Perfection New Generation Loose Powder
EYES
▪ Base – Black Eye Liner Pencil in Engraved
▪ Eyeshadow – Black Eyeshadow from the 120 Palette, and for the extended shadow I used the gold cream shadow and gold pigment to set it. For the leopard, Ms. Joy Gallego helped out, we both used MAC Engraved and POP Black Eyeliner
▪ Brows – Black Eye shadow from the 120 palette
▪ Liner – MAC Engraved for the waterline the same product was used to do tight lining. (Tight line is a method to make the upper eye lashes seemed full and darker. It’s putting black shadow or liner on the lower rim of your upper lash. You can use a variety of ways to do this method. You can either use a flat push brush to apply black shadow or your trusty black eye liner). It is hard to do at first because its very easy to poke the eyes, so you have to be very patient and delicate when doing this technique.
▪ Mascara – A small amount of Lancome hypnose mascara to darken his lashes.
LIPS
▪ Black eyeliner to line hrt lips and creamy concealer to pale the lip area
Note: I wanted to intensify and give Nadd a very dark-smokey eyes. I took a bit of inspiration from the “Moon Of My Life”, Khal Drogo of Game of Thrones…hehehe!!! Kidding aside, I also used grayish black shadows to darken Nadd’s facial hair to give him a stronger look. Nadd has a good physique but in order to enhance the curves and plains of his body we applied contouring to emphasize his god-like physique. A bit of bronzer for his arms and chest was applied as well.
